The label is there — but is it the right one, in the right place?

Verifying the presence, orientation and legibility of markings — a scenario that combines a completeness check (is the label there at all) with a print-quality check (is it legible and correctly placed).

Label and print inspection asks several questions at once: is the label present, is it in the right place and orientation, and is the print legible and undamaged. That makes this scenario more complex than a simple presence check — it's worth deciding up front which of these questions matters most for your process.

Labels usually have a fixed, repeatable pattern, which makes deviations — wrong orientation, misalignment, smudged print — easier to detect. Good, repeatable imaging conditions (controlling glare on a glossy label) have a direct effect on result quality here.

If the check also needs to cover label content (e.g. the correct batch number or product variant), it's worth flagging during the initial consultation — it affects the scope of data and how validation is done.

When this scenario usually works well

What the pilot report shows

If the check covers several aspects at once (presence, position, legibility), the qualification report shows accuracy for each separately — so you can see which element still needs work.

Will AIVQC read the print content, or only check that it exists?+

The base scenario is verifying presence, orientation and general legibility. Reading specific content (e.g. a batch number) is an additional scope we agree on individually during consultation.

What about labels on curved or glossy surfaces?+

That is a typical case where lighting quality decides the result — qualification at the start of the pilot checks whether the current imaging setup handles it.
